I'm kinda expecting a heavier dose of late 80s & 90s this week, since we got off light last week.

On the other hand, considering the nuggets Dave's been pulling out of late, that may not be so bad after all. Let's hope....
Let's get right to it.

Talk Talk.

followed by more Anglophilia: Simple Minds, "All the Things Chrissie Said in Our Pre-Nup".

They actually are English.  Talk Talk of course did "It's My Life" which Dave considers a perfect pop song.

And they are one of the few groups to have a hit song titled with the bands name.

LOL!

(but they're Scots, so Anglophilia is unlikely)

I kinda figured that's who they were.  I always wondered if there was a connection between the band's name, and the hit "Talk Talk" by the Music Machine in the 60's.

I'm hoping that last week was a reaction to MAX, and that it continues.  Remember when K-101 went all-'80s and we got nothing but '80s sets for weeks?  'bout time we actually benefit from a knee-jerk programming reacton!

BOS#1, Joe - "Right & Wrong"

When I saw him in concert (late '87 maybe) he did this song with just him singing & Graham Maby on the bass, stamping his foot for percussion.  Tres cool.

Dave should use the bass intro of this song to segue into any & all newsclips of Ronnie talking in every 10@10 set.

Oh, yay! Sting's here to tell us how bad nuclear war is! He saved us all back in the 80s! Hurray for Sting!

I'm having a crappy Tuesday. I hope it gets better.

I'm home with a feverish 3-year old who is downstairs watching a DVD.

OMG, Dave has answered one of my prayers!  It's "Rat In Mi Kitchen"!

Pop quiz, (assuming he doesn't play an edited version), who does the trumpet solo at the end of this?

ooo! Dave IS in a mood.

"This is not a plant closing, this is a loss of one product line."

which coincidentally requires the closing of a plant...

There's a rat in the kitchen, all right.
