So of course I'm late to the game, but um, what?  Joan Jett and Carmen Electra?  More so than just this video, apparently:

This is great, I'd never heard it before.  Did Joan Jett formally come out, or is she in "open secret" territory? (I've long thought she and Pink will eventually become an item.)

those are the best kinda bloggings!  Nice work, and I didn't know either that it was a cover of a Sweet song from (holy flaming mother of blog) 1974!  One more reason to worship at the altar of Chapman & Chinn (as if ya needed another).

No clue about the orientations of Ms. Jett or Ms. Electra, but you do know that song is a cover, right? Originally recorded by Sweet in '74, it was penned by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn, who wrote a number of Sweet's hits--Little Willy, Ballroom Blitz, Wig Wam Bam, to name a few, as well as Exile's Kiss You All Over and Toni Basil's one-off Mickey.

Meant to follow-up here: Men at Work in '81 is indeed a mistake (AL's first major screw-up that I can think of); their first LP first charted in July of '82.

actually not, but I didn't say anything at the time since I was so busy on Tuesday & pissed that I'd missed it.  But Stone Roses was from 1989, not 91.  BOS anyway when I heard the replay that night...on my way home from the office(!).
