High marks for Mr. Jackson, too. I remember a friend who worked at a Record Factory store had to talk me into buying this. So, so glad she did. It got played daily at my house that fall.

Just notice how the Square Pegs theme is built around the melody of Chopsticks. Seriously.

Did Mark Mothersbaugh do that one?

I'll have to take your word on George Jones, but I think Elvis never made similes that called into question whether or not* he was a native speaker of English like these lyrics do.
