If anyone's online this evening, I've been posting a series of YouTube links as part of an imaginary DJ program called Pop Argot's Lonely Hearts Club New Year's Eve.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

TANC/it's-a-small-world:  This morning on the Drive's 10@10, Bob did '67 and mentioned the big Chicago blizzard of Jan '67, as the city gets hit by a big storm today.  Later, a FB-friend of mine, a guy I used to work with at ABC and who's from Chicago, posted some radio clips of that blizzard. so I commented

Quote
Was just listening to The Drive in Chicago this morning; they do a fine version of "10@10" and were featuring 1967. The jock (Bob Stroud) mentioned that blizzard -- it happened 2 days after a record January heat wave

And my friend said "I know Bob well - we worked together at WMET. He wasn't in Chicago in 1967, though!"

and a few minutes later, who should comment in the same thread but Bob Stroud!

Rick Stuart:
Stoked to hear new Radiohead. Wonder if it will be songs or a huge bag of pot, drum machine, and mumbling?

some wag:
well fielded, sir, but will The Fox play it .. in any case? ;-)

Irish Greg just now discovered the pic on my FB page of me with him, Renee, Peter & Dave from 2002 or 2003. (?? -- maybe he looked me up after my email earlier this week?)  Anyway he commented "how much can we pay you to destroy that picture?" because both he and Peter have slimmed down considerably since then.

A FB-friend -- a woman I worked with in NY 20 years ago -- is deejaying some fund-raiser tonite and asked "what should I play to get The Gays dancing, besides Lady Gaga?"  Grrrrrr.  I replied, "play Sylvester, and bitch-slap the first guy who asks 'who IS this?' "

KFOG is asking FB-Fogheads to weigh in on Barry Zito's moustache.  Best comment so far:

"Pitch better first, THEN grow facial hair. At this point of reliability, he shouldn't even have eyebrows."

Bwhahahaha!
