Assume that this JCM song is one of the bustouts, but it's greek to me: Don't remember this any more than I did the Michael Johnson song from yesterday. But it's loads better than Whitebread Picnic.

I like Mellonhead's "Junior" - NTM, too.

I got this CD back then, really quite good all the way through.

What album is that?

Gotta give Cobain et al credit--Nirvana did not make Nevermind Part II when they came up with In Utero. I remember thinking, wow, this is not necessarily an easy album to listen to--it ain't Sonic Youth, but he's really challenging his audience here.
Let's get right to it.

I had to stare at that for a few seconds before I got it.  I think my default font isn't as conducive for that one as others.

I only know Nirvana's heavy radio play songs, but it's apparent that guy could truly write songs and craft a great hook.

My reaction as well.  I thought is was much more easily understood as a follow up to Insecticide.

This will win BOS btw, and it's my #2.  BOS #3 to Westerberg & VHM's the rest of the way out.

In that case you really need to get their Unplugged album.  Very revealing of Cobain's talent, as well as personality.

urth, have you seen The Wrestler yet? great scene where Mickey Rourke's character is in a bar with Marisa Tomei and they're reminiscing about '80s hair bands while Ratt's "Round & Round" plays on the jukebox. Dude! Motley Crue! Warrant!Awesome! Rourke turns to Tomei and says "And then that pussy Cobain had to come along and ruin it for everyone -- the 90s sucked!”

this one is NTM, and it's dangerously approaching Smooth Jazz Territory.

I'd go along with a BOS for Westerberg just on general principles, although I don't think Runaway Wind is one of his best efforts.

And another BOS for Tim Finn, Hit The Ground Running. It's a K in Pride sets, but this is the only instance of it in a date-based set.

And BOS World Party while I'm at it. Just cuz.
Let's get right to it.

Have not, but I definitely want to. I think it just debuted up here this week, so hopefully it'll be at one of the semi-nearby suburban multiplexes and not just in downtown PDX.

Tune# 10 can be dedicated to Rick Warren and all folks that Dan Savage calls the American Taliban.

Verse 3:

But both the girl and boy were glad
'Cause one kid had it worse than that

'Cause then there was this boy whose
Parents made him come directly home right after school
And when they went to their church
They shook and lurched all over the church floor
He couldn't quite explain it
They'd always just gone there

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
