So much for "tradition." But it's been a pretty good week otherwise.
Let's get right to it.

damn, I was just thinking what a swell week it's been , and how '69 or '70 would totally cap it (and make the Marathon a pleasure tomorrow). Oh, well. I'm going back to WLNG.  Some days are NOT better than others, Dave.

'LNG is playing "My Baby Loves Lovin" -- much more like it for a Friday. Let me know if Haddaway shows up ;)

Well, of the two sets that led off with Some Days...., this is the better of the two IMO, but it's not perfect either. Whitebread Picnic, for example: not a fave.

This is from the same week as the 1978 set last Sept.  No Haddaway & a pretty good set as far as '93 goes.

Seems as though whoever's selecting the "classics" is not putting too much effort into it. A couple more of these Sept '08 sets and we'll have heard the entire month again. :-/

Whitebread Picnic, LOL!

But that's the nadir of the set really. Couple of bustouts & two-timers in here.

ROTFL!  That Letterman clip was worth the price of admission.  Top 10 complaints Dan Quayle has about new president Clinton.

And here's my BOS #1, JCM "Junior".

Assume that this JCM song is one of the bustouts, but it's greek to me: Don't remember this any more than I did the Michael Johnson song from yesterday. But it's loads better than Whitebread Picnic.

I like Mellonhead's "Junior" - NTM, too.

I got this CD back then, really quite good all the way through.

VHM "Connected" for zeitgiest alone.  Lot's of dance floor memories associated with Stereo MC's, though it is a Katrina by any account.
