Two more songs, two more BOSes: S&G, and Manfred Mann, who is definitely my cup of meat.

yep, me too.  Of course there was a long time before I knew the word 'queue' so I always heard that as "jumping cubes and making haste".

radio geek that I was, I thought they were "jumping cues".

BOS5 Foundations, mainly 'cause it's "Baby Now That i Found You" and not the overplayed "Buttercup".

I'd have BOS'd either one, but that's cuz Buttercup is an all-time fave here. But no complaints about BNTIFY--it's nearly as catchy! And a thoroughly satisfying SH6.
Let's get right to it.

My top 20 Singles book says the Small Faces had lots of success in the UK (Tin Soldier to #14 in Jan, 1968), but only ItchyandScratchycoo Park made the top 20 in the US.

I love Mike's current sig quote, but Rod, I love yours even more.  ROTFL!

BOS of BOSes to "Baby, Now That I've Found You," from the fabulous Foundations.

I remember seeing them on This is Tom Jones and being astounded that they were a multiracial ensemble. (I had assumed they were 4 white English guys)

I completely believe that.  They never got the recognition they deserved here in the US.  Itchykoo was a fluke hit for them, and I think most people thought that song was full of sincerity, when it's pretty clear they were dissing the silly hippes.

Mine was inspired by Mike's, which is just freakin' great.

BTW, that song never needs to be played on the radio ever again, imo.  Went from catchy to annoying real quick for me.

another great song and candidate for BOS.

Jimi should've taken a bike, it's much quicker when you gotta get across town.

I still remember right-wingers using "back in the USSR" as proof the Beatles were Commies.

Dave would usually play the Fab Four's X-mas greeting before the song, not after, so I think he's taking a pass this year.

BOS #8 either way though.
