when they first started running promos for the next day's year I was very annoyed -- it took the surprise away.  But I've gotten used to it and if it's a year I know will be crappy then I don't feel bad about missing it.  I long for the days when the most recent year was 1985

If Dave's doing '71 today, then maybe tomorrow will be Tax Day after all.

Very nice obscurity level for "Albert Flasher".  I remember my parents had a single of this song when it came out, along with "When You're Hot You're Hot".  My brother managed to break both of them.  Hell was paid.
