Weird news clip.  I've never heard anything negative about Evel Knievel before.  "That's barbarism!"

BOS Stevie.

BOS from me - an all-time favorite, and it fit perfectly with the Buddhist text I've been re-reading in an effort to clear my mind a bit (I put "Baby I've Been Thinking" on hiatus b/c I was thinking, and verging on saying, a lot of wrong and angry and almost evil things).

BOS2 to "Ride the Tiger," continuing in that Eastern vein.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Where's Gaz?!? He'd be wanting to hear this, methinks.

BOS Ride the Tiger.

(Nice segue, btw.)
Let's get right to it.

Wooohoo! It's '74!
TCB

"It's the work that we avoid" - how many of us are going to show up to our workplaces today and tomorrow but mostly avoid doing any actual work?  Not to mention getting in late & leaving early?  I know I am.
I've got the inverse: I have to work my ass off today, then I have tomorrow and Thursday off, then Friday I have a long but easy day.

Yeah, I have a ton of stuff to do today, and probably leaking into tomorrow.  But we just got the word that the office is closing at 2pm tomorrow, and I am bailing then whether my sh*t is done or not.  I may sleep for four days straight.

I want to ride the tiger
I want to ride the tiger
It will be black and white in the dead of night
Eyes flashing in the clear moonlight
I want to ride the tiger.

It's like a tear in the hands of a western man
Tell you about salt, carbon and water
But a tear to a chinese man
He'll tell you about sadness and sorrow or the love of a man and
a woman.

I want to ride the tiger
I want to sail through the risin' sun for you and you
We got something to learn from the other side
Something to give, we got nothing to hide
I want to ride the tiger.

Black wants out of the streets
Yellow wants the country
Red wants the country back
And white wants out of this world
Sing - sing to the sky
I want to ride the tiger
I want to ride the tiger.

Look to the summer of seventy-five
All the world is gonna come alive
Do you want to ride the tiger?

Dude, that's what blogs are FOR.  Anger is good.

There's a righteous anger, and then there's a destructive anger.  I've been slipping toward the latter, and that ain't good.

Wasn't Craig Chaquico about 16 when they recorded this?

BOS2 MFSB. RIP Classic Soul Train.

(For years I thought MFSB stood for "MotherF---in' Son of a Bitch", not "Mother-Father-Sister-Brother")

Pretty sure they just sang 'oriental', not chinese.

First time through, they sang "Chinese," and then when they repeated it, they changed to (ugh) "Oriental."
