Fahrn fahrn fahrn!  BOS to "Autobahn."

Bilingual mondegreen: When this first came out, I thought they were singing "fun, fun, fun, off the autobahn"--sort of a Beach Boys homage? Gets my BOS vote in any case.

we'll be fahr'n fahr'n fahr'n till her vater takes the BMW away.

LAWD! BOS6 Mrs. George Macrae, one of the most brazenly sensual come-ons ever to make the Top Ten.

BOS5 Brian Protheroe, "Pinball".

I'd completely forgotten this song, but I know it's not a bustout.  Reminiscent of "Angie Baby" a bit.

And Urth, I think the fahr'n/fun thing was intentional sly humor on Kraftwerk's part.

Ooh!  VHM to Gwen McCrae's "Rockin' Chair," a response record of sorts to hubby George's "Rock Your Baby."
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

actually that's a Johnny Carson line, and I believe it was Dana Carvey who did a great Carson imitation on SNL.

I didn't catch him mentioning that (and I wasn't paying close attention today), but I would not be at all surprised, particularly in the case of the Brian Protheroe. Good ears!

maybe THIS time we'll get some JS.
Is this disco Jefferson Starship??  ;)
JS went near-disco on one '76 track, "Love Lovely Love."
Definite disco on Earth's "Love Too Good."
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
