Al Stewart released a new record yesterday. Yes, he's been way under chart radar for a long time, now. Most people will recognize a few of his songs (The Year Of The Cat and Time Passages, mainly), but he's been cranking out the well-crafted songs ever since the late 60s. A good number of them deal with
historical figures (Warren Harding, Lord Grenville, etc.) so he's educational as well as fun!
I saw him at the Sausalito Arts fest a couple weeks back, and he'll be at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley on Dec 12. Rock on, softly!
