Van the Man, we're in clover

This resonates with me because of the latest news from my extended family.  One or two of you have met my cousin Andy, same age as me, and we just got an email from his mom, my aunt Gail yesterday with the news that she is geting married in 17 days in Hawaii, at the age of 70.  Her intended is a "retired Franciscan priest (after 30 years), disabled Vietnam vet & a PhD in clinical psychology."

None of us had a clue, but I hope they'll "be in clover".

Havens, Van, and now the Stones--def. sounds like '71 to me!
Let's get right to it.

Stones, movin' like a stud, salivate like a Pavlov's dog

Everytime I hear Mick pronounce b-a-s-s like the fish and not like base, I think of PDQ Bach & his Bass-the-fish drum.

Wow! Sounds like your aunt's intended has had an interesting life, to say the least. Hope they can find some happiness together in their "golden years" and both stay healthy to enjoy them.
Let's get right to it.

Ha!  One of my fellow deejays at my college station used to play "Rescue Me" by Fontella Bass and mispronounce her name as "Fontella Base". (yes, he was a muscian).

This is awesome, a song you don't hear all that often.  It rocks real hard, with only minimal psychedelia, and plenty of funky goodness.
