Hour 2: Agnetha, you're no Frida. But VHM for the symmetry of having both ABBA-women hit the Top 40 in the same year.

VHM Def Leppard, f-f-f-foolin'. and another VHM BJ, first of his 2 appearances today. Tell me about it!

Listening on the bus...

Man, that blonde chick from ABBA should've called Phil Collins, too.

Def Leppard only got a $30 per diem on tour?  Was coke that cheap back then?

LOL!  Coke wasn't cheap but baby laxative cost a LOT less.

Haaaay indeed: BOS3 Culture Club, steppin' out like a Gotham child. Or maybe just a Goth child.

BOS4 Eurythmics, tho' I still think "Who's That Girl" shoulda been the follow-up to "Sweet Dreams".

WOS3 Bryan Adams. Damn, I'm predictable.

VHM JCM, crumblin' 'n' tumblin'.  BOS5 MJ "PYT"

no, no, for pity's sake! Not Yes as an extra!!

Hour 3: BOS6 H&O, say say so so.

VHM Huey, "Heart & Soul" which still sounds like a lost Macca tune to me.

VHM Ms Benatar NOT trying to be Irene Cara.

BOS6 Peabo & Roberta's lovely duet.

The gales of Novembah remembah'd: Casey spins the Edmund Fitz as a timely extra.

Bowie catches the paper boy. More fun than pulling the waiters, I guess.

Proxy of sg, Stevie N. (WOS4 from me, obviously -- a goat in chiffon is still a goat).

Sorry to miss a more-stellar-than-usual Top Ten. Shout-outs to Spandau, Sheena, Prince, BJ, Macca'n'MJ, Dolly'n'Kenny.

Hour 1: BOS1 Still Bill, on his way down; Donny O. asks "Why". VHM.

Johnny Rivers ends his Top 40 drought; I never need to hear "All the Young Doods" again.

Still astounding that "Imagine" peaked at #3.

VHM Gilbert O's "Clair". He must've gone to Penn State.

I'd forgotten all about this Grand Funk number, "Rock'n'Roll Soul" -- and with good reason. WOS1.  But VHM the Band covering Marvin Gaye.

Oh no! Something's wrong with Austin Roberts!  VHM -- it's far better than his *other* hit, "Rocky". If only he'd remained a one-hit-wonder.

Despite some screeching, I'll BOS2 the Osmonds, getting "heavy" on "Crazy Horses". Mormons with guitars, singing about pollution -- my head may explode!

It sure is weird, considering who it is. "whaaaa! whaaaa!" But that's kinda why I like it.

WOS2 Donna Fargo -- where's my insulin?

BOS3 Mr Croce.

BOS4 Sam Neely (no relation to Ted) doing a damn fine Kristofferson/Prine/Lefty Frizell mash-up.

OMFG: uber-BOS5 Cashman & West's spectacular "American City Suite" -- despite the truncated radio edit. Here's the loooong version:

It POURS, man! It POURS!!

OMFG! BOS6 this delightful J-5 extra. "Corner of the Sky", from the B'way musical Pippin, in which Motown was a major investor. And a Canuck extra from Neil Young, whose 66th B-day is today.

Hour2 of what's been quite amazing so far. VHMs Alice, the Stylistics, and America.
