Hour 3: BOS8 Ms Reddy's lovely "No Way To Treat a Lady".

it's -- it's -- a ballroom 'trina!

BOS9 Freddy Fender's "Wasted Days & Wasted Nights".

TANC: Tina Fey did a Karaoke "At 17" on a 30 Rock rerun the other nite.

Back in '75, WABC's copy of "Could it Be Magic" had a crack in the record at the very beginning -- you could hear a click throughout the piano intro. Dan Ingram turned it into a bit: "and now Barry Manilow plays piano with his feet! Uh, Barry, you might wanna cut your toenails first..."  I guess you hadda be there.

More cheeze: David Geddes.

BOS10 the Isleys and all that Bullshit goin' down.  BOS11 Glen Campbell and all those rhinestones shinin' 'round.

OOOPS! the Hour 3 "extra" is supposed to be ABBA's "SOS" but we get "Name of the Game" instead. And *nobody* at Premiere noticed??

Wow, haven't heard Go West's "Don't Look Down (the Sequel)" in ages. VHM.

WOS Kenny G, just on principle -- tho' it's nice to know Lenny Williams sang on a Top 40 hit in '87.

VHM the Whispers, rockin' steady baby. BOS1 the PRBs, "It's a Sin"

Hey soul sister, ain't that Mr Mister doing a song nobody remembers? WOS2 "Something Real"

WOS3 Richard Marx, also on principle.

Madonna made some great singles in the '80s "Who's That Girl" is not one of them.

Yeesh: WOS4 Bryan Adams. 4 WOSes in the first hour? other than the Pet Shop Boys, this was a waste of time -- and REO Speedwagon is coming up!

This "extra" by the Other Ones, "Holiday", is NTM -- and no wonder: it peaked at #29.  Anybody remember it?

Hour 3: I surely haven't heard Jellybean's "Who Found Who" since '87. VHMFRA. Ditto Natalie Cole's "Jump Start".

ooo! 2 swoonworthy BOSes:  BOS4 LLCoolJ's "I Need Love" and uber-BOS5 Levert's wonderful "Casanova".

More swoonworthiness: VHM smoove Smokey, "One Heartbeat"

WOS6 Heart; WOS7 Fat Boys/Beach Boys.

Color me taken aback! BOS6 Prince & Sheena.

Lots of forgotten goodies, esp in the '84 chart.

Oh yes, I've made it a 1987 10@10 request on occasion.

Hour1: VHM "Dusic". and VHM STB; my eyes have a mist from the smoke of a dist.

Ms Coolidge gets lifted; Mr Parsons wouldn't wanna be like you.

BOS1 Eric Carmen, paying homage to the Beach Boys with actual BBs on backing vox.

VHM LRB.

BOS2 Crystal Gayle; BOS3 Stevie's underappreciated "Another Star"; BOS4 Dorothy Moore's lovely "I Believe You", later covered by the Carpenters.

The Nuge likes pussy. Duh!

BOS5 already! Firefall's "Just Remember I Love You" sounds esp nice this morning.

eek: Leif Garrett has had his moments, but "Surfin' USA" ain't one of them. WOS1.

Hour2: JT come-a, come-a, comes. And I'm sure Carly is relieved.

VHM Barry W -- it's ecstasy when you're necstamee.

BOS6 George Benson's orig version of "Greatest Love of All"

Yeah, "Heaven on the 7th Floor" is a HFH to many, but it's good cheezy fun to me.

Steve Miller delivers more papaya; Frampton does one of the whitest Motown covers evah.

The Two Ronnies: McDowell does his ode to the King; Milsap gets BOS7 for the best Barry Manilow imitation of all time.

And speaking of the King; BOS8 Elvis' "Way Down", as I exit to run some errands.  WOS2 the Floaters.

Hour3: perfect timing -- I missed "You Light Up My Life" and arrive in time to VHM Johnny Rivers and BOS9 Stephen Bishop.

"I Just Want to be Your Everything" was only #1 for a month? in NYC it was #1 on WABC's survey for 9 weeks!

VHM Shaun Cassidy covering Eric Carmen. This and the follow-up "Hey Deanie" were genius calls on the part of his A&R person. I'd forgotten that his dad Jack Cassidy was already dead by Oct of '77.

VHM ELO. But nobody does it better than Simon... Carly Simon.

Casey plugs his appearance on The Hardy Boys!  The Brothers show off their johnson.

BOS10 KC, keepin' it common-law.

1984 Hour 1: I thought this Joyce Kennedy/Jeffrey Osborne duet sounded like a nice bit of ballad-writing -- and lo, it's a Mann/Weill compo. VHM.

OMG: Naked Eyes' "What in the Name of Love" is one I haven't heard since '84.  BOS1 H&O, "Out of Touch"

OMG2: Barry Gibb's "Shine Shine" is a very welcome obscurity -- VHM.  WOS1 Lionel Ritchie.

"Nations go to war over women like" Sheena.  BOS2 "Strut". All this fascination with leather & lace!

BOS3 Tina -- bettah be GOOD, bay-bay!  VHM Ch-Ch-Ch-Chaka.

Wham! Debuts with their first. BOS4 "WMUBYG-G"

WOS2 Dennis DeYoung.

Yes!!!  BOSing both.  HM Sheena Sugarwalls and her crazy eyes.

Another BOS to Wham!  I remember my mom teaching me how to Jitterbug to this in my "Frankie Say" t-shirt.

Hour 2: VHM Jermaine's forgotten "Dynamite". I really need a good anthol of his -- he had a ton of hits in that decade.

BOS5 Prince -- it really was purple-mania at that moment in time.

unexpected BOS6 EJ's "Who Wears these Platform Shoes?"

VHM Miss Ross and another of her pop melodramas --"Swept Away". No wonder drag queens worship her.

I'll BOS7 "Go Insane". Like I al. ways. do.

BOS8 Rod the Bod's delightful Persuaders cover -- maybe my fave of his many radio-friendly '80s hits.

Somebody call Swellegant! this hour's extra is "The War Song". BOS9. Is that Helen Terry wailing in the background?

Hour 3: Ms Branigan gets lucky.

I don't remember Night Ranger's "When You Close Your Eyes" at all.

VHM the Jacksons' ode to 2010 Giants baseball; WOS3 Caffery and his brown beaver. I'm so excited the Pointers are still standing.

Memo to Huey: "phonin' " does NOT rhyme with "mornin' "... unless you're black. And don't even GET me started about "one way or the 'nother".

Speaking of odd pronunciation: Billy O sails the carra-byoon.

Hour 3:
I don't remember Night Ranger's "When You Close Your Eyes" at all.

I remember the video being the sequel to "Sister Christian".  So not motorin'.
