had to step out but I'm not sorry I missed Wang Chung and summer-summer-summer.  And summer means hurricanes: the Scorpions arrive to rawk us like, well, you know.

BOS3 "My Ever Changing Moods".

Ditto. Mr Weller rules.

And Van Stephenson definitely does not. WOS2 "Modern Day Glenn Frey Imitation"

VHM Rick Springfield

Frank "cares for Jeannie deeply". And obviously wants to bone the hell out of her. But "Private Eyes" as his LDD? Dude, yer creepin' me out.

I came on here just to make that observation.

I thought it was a Fried Green Tomatoes situation until I heard Frank's name at the end!

BOS4 "Who's That Girl?"  Great Bananarama cameo in the vid.

VHM Slade.  I remember liking this song despite the fake bagpipes.

BOS5 "Hold Me Now".  I would've killed to have been in Tom Bailey's lovin' arms back then.

BOS6 "Eyes Without A Face".  One of Billy's better songs.

Stay the night? I don't even want Chicago to stay for the next 4 minutes! WOS3.

VHM Slade, finally finding US chart success, about 10 years too late.

I'll take New Wave Katrinas for $500, Alex: "Hold Me Now" followed by "Eyes Without a Face". Can't decide if "Almost Paradise" is cheeze-tastic or WOS4. Maybe both. But that was the most long-winded intro, like, EVAH. "but this group doesn't really exist, and that group, well..." Jeezus.

You might think you're crazy, but you're really hearing the Cars twice in one show.

AT40 "extras" announcer trumpets "Corey Hart turned down the role of Marty McFly in Back to the Future!"  ... er, per Wiki: "Along with numerous others, Corey Hart was considered, though not seriously, for the role of Marty McFly..."

Diane Lane apparently turned down Risky Business and Splash for Streets of Fire.

JJ can't get what he wants; the Go-Gos give "Head".

VHM Shalamar's forgotten "Dancing in the Sheets", which comes right after "Dancing in the Dark", heh heh.

BOS5 another unfairly overlooked hit: Culture Club, "It's a Miracle". BOS6 BJ's superb and heartfelt "The Longest Time"

BOS7 Joe Jackson

BOS8 "Head Over Heels".  I miss Belinda's flat-top.  Another great vid.

BOS9 "Dancing In The Dark". The lyrics were a WTF to me when I was 12.  I get it now.

BOS10 Shalamar "Dancing In The Sheets".  I haven't heard this in ages.  I also get it now.  ;)

BOS11 "It's America A Miracle".  BOS12 "The Longest Time", which Casey took with the intro.  Bronx = not an island, still a borough.  We GET it.

Too many BOSes to count.  1984 was truly a golden year for chart pop.

VH will wait, but the Pointers jump over the borderline -- they have no self-control, obviously. And neither did Willie & Julio --TMI, guys.
