Holding Back The Years...ah, what Purgatory sounds like!  Another song I appreciate more now...prolly 'cos I'm pushing 40.  Heh.

I wish my mom invented Liquid Paper.  Damn you, Mike Nesmith!  :P

ZZ Top's "Rough Boy".  There's a joke in there somewhere, I know it!  There's something about this song I like.  VHM.

WOS4 Starship -- again I ask, how is "We Built This City" the worst-song-ever when virtually ALL their '80s singles are worse than "WBTC"??

BOS2 Mater, Pater, and Simply Red. VHM ZZT's dead-on Eagles homage/parody.

uber-BOS3 Sade; BOS4 HoJo

Agreed.  "Never As Good As The First Time" is one of her best songs, IMO (but not better than "Is It A Crime?")
I forgot how good "No One Is To Blame" is.  What ever happened to HoJo?

VHMs to Simply Red, Sade and HoJo.  This set is full of fond memories.  (And I'm alone here in liking "I Wanna Be a Cowboy" too.)

George Michael was *22* when he wrote "A Different Corner."  Damn.  Too bad he lost all his urge to create a decade later, what a shame.

George M's "Different Corner" seemed impossibly wimpy to me at the time. But it sounds quite lovely this morning. Unexpected BOS5.

I never thought of this - but damn, you're right.

First time I heard it I thought it was a Glenn Frey solo thing. (Frey *wishes* he could write a ballad that non-smarmy)

What on *earth* is this ("flip, flop, fly"?) retro number being played as a Canadian extra?

Never mind, the player's finally showing the info.  Never heard of the Downchild Blues Band.

"Nothin' At All" certainly *sounds* like the fourth single from an album.

On this we can all agree. WOS5.  And WOS6 Billy Ocean's cupful of treacle.

But BOS6 the Jets.

VHM The Jets "Crush On You".  I didn't love hearing it as much as I did then.

BOS6 "Addicted To Love".  Real horns!
