Maybe it's time to change how the show is distributed. Instead of 70s and 80s, it should be 3 hour and 4 hour shows. So the 4 hour 70s shows could remain intact.

Agreed -- the first hour usually has the most rarities and is therefore the most interesting part of the show for me.

Mr Seger's got tonite; Ms Summer's got her hubby Bruce Sudano to sing with her on "Heaven Knows" -- BOS2. And their daughter is quite pretty:

And BOS4 Kenny Rogers -- "The Gambler" is perhaps the apex of '70s country story-songwriting.

OMGWTFLOL-of Set: "Don't Hold Back" by Chanson, a rather forgettable OHW disco number I (understandably) don't remember -- turns out the lead singer is James Jamerson Jr, son of the legendary Motown sideman. (this wasn't on Motown, BTW)

Holy flaming muther of Runt: tuned in the Canuck station early and heard someone named Tom Middleton doing a version of Todd's "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference". Sounds not unlike Todd's version or the Hello People cover.

Then they played the Stampeder's version of "Hit the Road Jack", feat Wolfman Jack  -- godawful. Makes "Clap For the Wolfman" seem like Cole Porter.

BOS2 Real Life's "Send Me an Angel" on its first go-'round

a couple of holdovers from our last '84 visit that I BOSed then: Barry M-meets-MeatLoaf and Debarge find out what time will reveal.

Most peculiar, momma: posthumous John.  and talk about a forgotten hit: Macca's "So Bad", which kind of is, actually.

Wrapped around your finger is a string attached to 99 luftballons.

BOS3 BJ's gorgeous "An Innocent Man"; BOS4 Shannon's delightful "Let the Music Play".

WOS2 --one of the worst singles of the entire decade -- "Curly Shuffle"

And as I head out the door, BOS5  H&O's "Say it Isn't So"

Really a fabulous chart, but it climaxes with an edited slice of "Pie" from Don McClain at #1
