This weekend Casey70's does April 8, 1972:

Gaz, since they haven't aired your b'day chart, here's one from your embryo days!  ;)

Ha, good thinking!  If only my mom had heeded BOS2, Honey Cone's "The Day I Found Myself."

I once won a round of Music Triva by being able to fill in the blank: "Honey Cone's hit 'The Day I ______ Myself.' "  I was quite literally the only person in the room who'd ever heard of it.

Seems like we just discussed Gladys' "Help Me Make It..." recently, but it's debuting in this chart -- did I imagine it?

And I know I always make fun of "King Heroin", but seriously, why didn't Mr T do a cover of that one?

BOS Nilsson's "Jump Into the Fire" -- lawd how I love this record. And it was rather ballsy to follow-up "Without You" with something this wild.

"Never... no... no... yeah" Er, make up yer mind, Jorge!  VHM "Suavecito".

that Paul McCartney Give Ireland Back To The Irish.. sounds like he wrote that in five minutes.

Well, you can say that about a LOT of Macca songs... ;)

But that's one of my 3 or 4 favorite McCartney singles, right up there with "Junior's Farm" -- you can't imagine how controversial "GIBTTI" was in 1972, and you hardly ever hear it (when Bob played it on the Drive for St Patty's Day I was quite amazed). BOS2

VHM Dennis Coffey's "Taurus", more fun than I remembered.

BOSes 3 & 4 Cher & BJ Thomas; WOS yet again (3rd time in the last 2 weeks!) Robert John.

I'll VHM Donny's "Puppy Love", which I actually prefer to the original; Donny's is (believe it or not) rather subtle compared to Paul Anka's ridiculously histrionic reading.

I can only imagine how your competitors might have mad-libbed this.

VHM to another forgotten hit: the Romantics' "One in a Million".

WOS Steve Sherrie, "Oh Perry".

Gaz is right, "The Kid's American" kept Matthew Wilder from being a OHW. But it shouldn't've -- man, it's godawful. WOS2

Yet another forgotten one: I surely have not heard Irene Cara's "Breakdance" since '84. (Thank gawd.)  Ditto Tony Carey's "Fine Fine Day".

BOS2 BJ's lovely '50s hommage, "The Longest Time". And hooray for the German version of "99 Luftballoons". But -- AAAAACK! -- WOS3 Yes, "Leave It"

ooo! BOS3 Paul Young's first US hit, "Come Back And Stay" -- this LP was everywhere on my first trip to London in the Summer of '83. Ego! Envy! Lust!

Cheeze for brunch: Willie and Julio, to all de gurls they've luffed before.

BOS4 Queen's "Radio GaGa" -- a top 20 hit that is now completely ignored by the Classic Rock stations that play "Killer Queen" and "We Will Rock You" 87 times a month.

Ray Parker wanted Huey's new drug -- so he stole it!

BOS5 Ms Ullman's ever-wonderful "They Don't Know".

I have to bail before the Top Ten, so VHMs-in-absentia to H&O's "Adult Education" and Culture Club's "Miss Me Blind".

How about the creepy LDD that used "Every Breath You Take" for the 80s show?? A woman dedicates that song to minor league baseball players. I hope she doesn't know that song was about stalking.
