BOS TJ, gone country on "Say You'll Stay Until Tomorrow" -- Elvis shoulda recorded this instead of "Moody Blue".

Love the Canadian "extras" this Ontario station plays. This tune by the not-dead Gordon Lightfoot is NTM. "Brand New Man"?

baby, I'm amazed that the orig studio version of "Maybe I'm Amazed" was never a single, and that this live take ended up as a Top Ten make-good in '77.

VHM Smokie's "Living Next Door To Alice" -- it's like Dr Hook without Ray Sawyer's creepy/annoying vocals. (Indeed if Dr Hook had done it, it'd probably have gone Top Ten.)

ah, it's the Leo Sayer-getting-beat-up story again. If you looked like Leo, you'd get beat up too. No truth to the rumor that Leo had a sister named Sooth.

And speaking of dorky-looking guys, BOS2 (of course) Stephen Bishop feat Chaka. Actually, Stephen, I dunno what that hot rich chick is doing with you either.

Barry M asks, "When will this strong yearning end?" Whenever you finally come out of the closet, girlfriend. But VHM anyway to his re-jiggering of Randy Edelman's "Wknd in NE"

'80s VHM to Vallejo's own Con Funk Shun, channeling EWF on "Too Tight" -- I barely remember this one from it's brief chart run in '81. Oddly, it sounds a lot like EWF's "Let's Groove" -- which it predates by 8 months.

And WTF is this Firefall-featuring-a-female-singer thing? I'm gobsmacked. But BOS1 and proxy of cairo Terry Gibbs, singin' 'bout somebody's knockers.

It's Sefra and Sue! Every girl that ah knew!  BOS2 MJ & his bros -- I still don't understand why they had to change the title to "This Place Hotel".  uber-BOS3 Sheena on that morning train -- cheeze for Sunday brunch!

OMGWTFLOL -- super duper BOS4 the late Phil Seymour's wonderful "Precious to Me" -- Frampton-meets-PowerPop. I begged Dave to play this in an '81 set to no avail.

Russell turns to Graham and softly says, "you're every woman in the world to me..." WOS Air Supply. And Leo Sayer, barely sounding like himself, isn't much better on "Living in a Fantasy"  The adult-contempo-ization of Top 40 radio was in full swing in '81, sadly.

But H&O to the rescue with the still-great "Kiss on My List", the #1 single that jump-started their career.

What! What kind of fool!  if only all adult-contempo were as drop-dead gorgeous as Babs'n'Barry. BOS5.

Dame Cliff is "A Little in Love". And a lot in the closet.

VHM Tierra's lovely, forgotten cover of the Intruders' "Together", baby.

Damned if it ain't a Canadian "extra" that's the treat of the day: BNLs, "Get In Line" -- guess it was a north-of-the-border hit.

one more VHM to the off-the-wall WTF-ness of the Stevie-goes-country ditty, "I Ain't Gonna Stand For It".  Some current country act should really revive this one.

Odd to see Fogelberg's holiday-themed "Same Old Lang Syne" still in the Top Ten in late Feb.
