BOS1 Luther V, "Stop To Love"; BOS2 Ms Ronstadt's lovely duet with James Ingram  -- props to James Horner, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weill for writing a clever hommage to "When You Wish Upon a Star". How this lost the Oscar to Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" remains a mystery to me.

WOS3 Cinderella, "Nobody's Fool" -- damn, '87 is a hellish year no matter how you slice it.

BOS3 the Jets at their teen-dreamy best, "You Shot Got it All Over Him" --er, well then you better clean it up, bub.

ETA: OMFG! Rupert Holmes wrote that!

WOS2 Glass Tiger's "Someday"; WOS3 Bruce Willis massacre-ing the Staples. I never knew (or else I forgot) that was the Pointers on backing vox. Sheesh.

Echoing pretty much everything you've posted here, especially this.

But it was nice to be reminded of Cyndi Lauper's "Change of Heart," which fell off the face of the earth despite being a #2 hit.

also forgotten, despite being a #1: Huey's "Jacob's Ladder" -- VHM one of his best lyrics.  Nice to hear Casey giving props to Rhino Records. Some consider "At This Moment" cheeze, esp because of the Family Ties connection, but it's quite a lovely song. Speaking of cheeze -- the really smelly kind -- it's Chicago, "Will You Still Love Me?"

Mah honey, mah baby: remember how fresh the Georgia Sattelites seemed at the time?

most-forgotten hit yet: Samantha Fox's first big one, "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" a year before Full Force stepped in to give her a musical makeover.

"like a tramp in the night..."  Er, you said it, Sam, I didn't.

BOS4 "Open Your Heart", one of my favorites of Madge's '80s chartbusters.

Here's a station that not only plays both Caseys ('70s & '80s) -- it plays 'em back-to-back on Sundays, starting at noon eastern/9am pacific. WCFR in Springfield. VT:

Love back to back AT40s!!!   Now we only need a station to air either show on Friday nights. Miss my fix since KQLL dropped both shows and went all 90's on the world!!!

a BeeGees fest!

And Casey's '80s gives us Feb 23rd 1986 -- Sly Fox goes all the way! ABC tells how to be a Millionaire! and future Senator JC Mellencamp does "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A"  Plus a-Ha's forgotten "The Sun Always Shines on TV".  Great stuff.

Any countdown with both "Flashlight" AND "Can't Smile Without You" is going to please me.  Interesting story from Casey about how LeBlanc & Carr ("Fallin'") were nearly on the doomed Lynyrd Skynyrd flight.

WOS Art Garfunkel (with James Taylor and Paul Simon), "Wonderful World."  I call bullshit - no way I'm buying what Art's selling when he sings "Don't know much about alegbra"; he's got a fricking math masters degree and reads several books a month.

BOS1 to Odyssey, "Native New Yorker," really hit the spot this morning.  IDKT: this was written by the Linzer/Randell team.

BOS2 to the much-maligned Rod the Cad, "You're in My Heart."  OMG: They silently bleeped out "big-bosomed"!!
