in my guitar biz, Ken Hensley was an AR guy for Ampeg, and I later found out he was in Uriah Heep!  A group I only have creepy memories of on some late night rock show on TV.

VHM Hanoi Jane.  But a big BOS2 Mark-Almond "The City". fake-jazz at its finest.

Does your DB track the frequency of news bits and such?  I've heard that Jane clip several times before.

Btw, Geoff, I just realized we don't have a link to the glossary page on our new forum--must have left it at the old one. Can we squeeze one onto the current page someplace? With all these new folks dropping in, it might be needed!
Let's get right to it.

Nope, I don't thing we've gotten *that* anal yet. But you're right--the Phil & Jane clip is a frequent flyer.

sadly, no -- we rely on memory for those. We call overplayed newsclips "Sallys" (after Sally Field's Oscar clip), just as overplayed songs are "Katrinas" (for Katrina & the Waves, whose "Walking on Sunshine" was once heard in nearly every 1985 set).  But check out the 10@10 Glossary for more.

Love the Reagan/Wallace clip.  As a friend said at the time, "Hmmm... Abraham, Martin, John... and GEORGE???"

OMFG! BOS3 O'Jay's "992 Arguments", their soundalike follow-up to "Backstabbers", but a fine single nonetheless.

ETA:  I do hope it's a soul-ful set - Al Green can be counted on (Dave has played 5 diff. tracks by him in my Db for '72), and I wouldn't mind hearing Cornelius Bros. and Sister Rose, Bill Withers, Donnie Elbert, O'Jays, Stylistics, Spinners, etc.

Heading into Soul territory--and I'm pretty sure it's a first-timer at that! 992 Arguments--ah, that Philly sound!

Don't think I've heard 992 Arguments in a prior 72 set, but now Smoke is a really 1972 memory!

I'd've bet money we heard this -- and recently, too -- but the Shraytabase sez no.  But here's a "classic" i've had enuf of. Some Stoopid with a flare gun, indeed.

Love the ad montages!  And early 70's Blaxploitation flicks, yeah!
