I saw the Joe Strummer docu this weekend -- essential viewing. MikeBob sez "check it out!"

Where'd you see it? I was thinking about catching it, but it looked like it had left the Lumiere.

I have "IFC on Demand" thru Comcast -- I watched it at home for 6 bucks.

Sounds much preferable to going to the Lumiere--I only see movies there under protest, if they aren't playing anywhere else.

BOS FMac--cue the Trojans!
Let's get right to it.

I'm sure Davefish agrees, "Tusk" would have been a better song if they'd used the Stanford Band rather than USC's.

"Real savage-like!"  Funny, I never noticed him saying that before.

Least-necessary: Cheap Trick wants you to want them.

Yeah, I always get a bad taste in my mouth when I hear Tusk.  Much better memories from "I Want You to Want Me".  And the image I get is Phoebe Cates getting out of the swimming pool...

Given Lindsey's Peninsula roots, you think he'd be more loyal to the hometown marching band, but can you imagine the turmoil in the studio if they had gotten the LSJUMB in there? The Trojans were probably much more sedate.

The Lumiere is like the Empire -- I try to only see movies playing in the "large" auditorium. (at least the Empire rotates their films during the week, due to handicap-access laws)

funny, then, that Stanford consistently refuses to return the Morning Show's calls every year around "Big Game" time, while the Cal Men's Octet always performs (as they will Friday at the live-from-Yoshi's b'cast).

I was thinking of trying to go to that.  Anyone else tempted?

funny, MY "Rock'n'Roll fantasy" doesn't involve any members of BadCo. ;)
I have a funny feeling that Steve Forbert doesn't figure in it either.

The new forum is quite beautiful, but is there any way to avoid getting kicked out to the top-level thread list after each post?
I've noticed that too.  Everyone should feel free to look at the Simple Machines forum and documentation.

Hey Urth, I just noticed that the Roxie has picked up the Strummer docu, they're showing it now thru Thursday.
