Not questioning Macarena's HFH status, but when was this a hit? Ninety-something? 70s-centric my left clavicle.

Well, the artists were IN their seventies . . .

Just now reading the blogpost, I would have seconded the vote for "Torn Between Two Lovers," which I actually heard in a Vietnamese restaurant last weekend.

OMG! "Gitarzan" -- Ray Stevens made far worse records than this.

I would vote this BOS in a straight up set.  It is not a hit from hell, it's not even a guilty pleasure.  It's at worst a turkey.

Checked AMG--I'm amazed at the list of chart hits Ray Stevens had, beginning in 1961 and extending thru 2001 (although the last 20 years were strictly on the country charts):

"Mr Businessman", one of his rare "serious" tunes, is a lost gem, "Everything is Beautiful" is still lovely. And "I need Your Help, Barry Manilow", a pitch-perfect Manilow parody, bombastic production flourishes and all, is a personal fave.

And I've sung the praises of his countrified cover of "Misty" many times here.

I've managed to never hear that song, and I can't help reading the title as "Where have you gone, Barry Manilow, a nation turns its lonely eyes to you."  (Sorry.)

The web stream upcut Annalisa mid-sentence and it sounded like she was saying "Tits from Hell". LOL!

And her bonus is "Kung-Fu Fighting", a turkey maybe, but no HFH.

In April 2004, the song was awarded "the #1 Most Awesomely Bad Song Ever" by Blender magazine

I've weighed in on this before, but Blender magazine is the last place I would trust for value judgements.  Their list of worst guitar solos was so stupid.
