it's "cause I'm".  Don't read a '90s expression into a '70s lyric.  But see my related post.

i was thinking maybe she invented the expression. :)

Speaking of bitchiness, Boy George has called Madonna a "Homophobic hypocrite" for practicing Kaballah. I didn't know this but Kaballah apparently considers homosexuality "a disease".  Considering the hoo-hah over Donna Summer's long-ago alleged "Adam & Steve" comment, how it is nobody's called Madge on the carpet until now?

Yeah, thanks for reminding me.  The Honeycomb "Yeah Yeah Yeah" ads in the '80s were horrifying, as if the Krofft Superstars had switched their drug of choice from LSD to PCP.  Nightmare-worthy.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who remembers them. i can hear that big, gruff voice singing, "IT'S NOT SMALL!!!" that voice would kill you if you didn't eat honeycomb cereal.

i never ate it. maybe that's why.

Sandra Bernhard was busy doing other things on Madonna's carpet.

BOS to the Joneses!  Sugar Pie Guy don't tell no lie ...  and I think this is a breakout!  I've only ever heard this song on Felix Hernandez's Rhythm Revue.

Dave must not have gotten my card in time!

alas & alack!

I called, he didn't get your email! Said he can't do belated wishes when closing the set either.  :(

I sent him a card with an interesting aerial view of the GG Bridge, detailing my idea for a Don Pardo "looong version" sound clip.  Wanna call him back & at least inquire if he's up for doing that sometime this week?

If not I still appreciate the original attempt.

HM to the least Harrison-esque of the Harrison ouevre.  Maybe someday Dave'll play "Blow Away" or "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)."

VHM to "bitchin'" Elton.

How folks at the time didn't read songs like this and "Yellow Brick Road" as gay is beyond me.

Because people really didn't talk about this stuff then.  Remember they didn't know what Lou Reed meant when "She never lost her head even when she was giving head." Nor why Paul Simon had to wash his face after making love to Cecilia.

Dave has played "Give Me Love" (and "Sugar Pie Guy" too).  But I'd request "This Song", "Crackerbox Palace" or "Ding Dong".
