Acky Breaky Heart -- Billy Ray Cyrus
Baby Got Back -- Sir Mix-a-Lot
Baby Baby Baby -- TLC
Damn I Wish I was Your Lover -- Sophie B Hawkins
Diamonds & Pearls -- Prince
Finally -- CeCe Peniston
I Love Your Smile -- Shanice
Jump -- Kris Kross
My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get it) -- En Vogue
Save the Best For Last -- Vanessa Williams
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

I was thinking of that Vanessa Williams song recently.  Probably the best selling song to ever peak at #2, as it was only kept out of the top spot by the fact that 2 of the longest running #1's showed up in late '92 back to back.

all Black Crowes songs are pretty much the same song to me.

Smells Like Katreen Spirit for the 2nd time this morning -- this is "legal" in both '91 and '92.

I don't have Whitburn handy, but Top40 db sez it hit #1.  I seem to recall it being #1 for a number of weeks.  A lovely example of a well-written pop ballad, in any case.

I'll have to doublecheck, but I had it that between "End of the Road" and "I Will Always Love You" being #1 for a combined 20+ weeks that year STBFL got squeezed out.

"Callmewhenyoutrytowakeher"

I honestly thought they were singing gibberish -- or Swahili.

And which little-heard Black Crowes tune would that be?

BOS1, David Byrne, Lifetime Piling Up.
Let's get right to it.

BOS #2 "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight".  I remember I bought this album on my first visit to Hong Kong that fall.

"Life is a Katrinaway"

When 2006 comes up, will we hear the Rascal Flatts version of this?

Nice of Dave to remind us how grievously Clinton's comments on marijuana got twisted.  Not that he didn't earn the Slick Willie sobriquet by his own actions, but he actually said couldn't inhale, not didn't inhale.
