When 2006 comes up, will we hear the Rascal Flatts version of this?

having heard the remake more than I care to, Tom Cochrane is actually sounding good again to me this morning.

BOS #3 "Caroline".  My affection for Johnette Napolitano's voice has grown over the years.

LOL!  And I do think it's a good record, I had it on my best-of-'92 mixtape right alongside Vanessa Williams, TLC, En Vogue and Billy Ray C.

Little heard Black Crowes kicks off in a promising way.

And which little-heard Black Crowes tune would that be?

BOS1, David Byrne, Lifetime Piling Up.

Can't recall the title, think it was track #1 though.  Neither "Remedy" nor "Thorn In My Pride" anyway.

fwiw, that wasn't solo Byrne, it was TH; one of the 2 songs recorded in the sessions for Naked that wound up on their greates hits compilation.

I still think it's a little ludicrous that they had to spell it "diz knee" in order to avoid a lawsuit. Such are the times we live in.

Hey, it's Metallica--and it's not Enter Sandman. Whoa.
Let's get right to it.

Sounds like a Metallic breakout to me.  Good grunge level in this set.

Sting Me? Hotel Illness? I know we've heard the latter before.

I remember predicting the Rodney King riots.  The verdicts were announced midday, and I heard the news on my walkman as I was riding my bike over to play pick-up hoops at UCSB.  A number of the players were local African-americans, and I was the one who told everybody what had just happened.  Needless to say my African-american friends were besides themselves, and I said to them, "I have a bad feeling that LA is going to burn tonight."  After playing for an hour or two I further remember going home to shower & then turning on the TV and being mildly surprised that no incidents were being reported yet.  But within another hour, as sundown approached, that was no longer the case.

v.h.m. k.d.l.

Wish Dave's play some of her earlier stuff occasionally -- too country, I guess.
