I'm not using the player, but there's no trouble with the stream on Winamp.  It's 1986.

Nope, but as usual, I'm going old-school with the over-the-airwaves signal. But since we're hearing 86 today, I'm guessing you guys are all off to PDX to guess the theme. Have a McMenamins for me while you're up there, eh?
Let's get right to it.

Paging the great Gazoo--it's the epic and insipid KBC Band with their ode to America. I dig the message, but the song just doesn't get it for me.

I always like the vocal harmonies when K&B get together.

Now we're hearing something in German that sounds a lot like Falco, but isn't Der Kommisar (obviously)--Vienna Calling maybe?

We're playing Spot the Vinyl today, btw. Thinking this could be it.

ETA: Yep, per the Top 40 db, that's the artist and the name of the tune. Never heard before.
Let's get right to it.

Wow, that's either a breakout or an extreme rarity.

Yep, I was thinking it was Falco when the song said, "the pride of Vienna, our own 'Falco'!".  I don't think I've heard it before -- I kinda like it.

Yeah, that kinda tore it for me, too, but I'd made my guess before that point in the song.

And DM said the KBC tune was today's vinyl track.

I have!  Major kudos to Dave for that one.

(fwiw I think I cracked Inessa's theme over on the other thread).

I called in my vote, and Dave was a bit chattier than usual (which probably means the phone lines weren't exactly burning up).  But the vinyl was the KBC Band.

One last BOS vote for Gene Loves Jezebel, which Dave plays about once/year.  Great song IMHO.

Did ya catch the last tune? Gene Loves Jezebel, didn't catch the song title.
Let's get right to it.
