Not that we'd be able to tell. It will likely consist of most of those songs Mark listed the other day.
Let's get right to it.

Indeed, I'll be surprised if it's newly recorded... but I said that last year, too, and it turned out to be just that.

Well, the first two tunes are the same two that last year's set led off with, so it could well just be that set in redux. If it is last year's, then the next song will be Jill Sobule.
Let's get right to it.

what was that first little punky thing?

unintelligible, and real short.  Sound bite, or a song?

this next song "I'm gay, and I don't mean happy" sounds like Christian music to me, in that the lyrics are proper, but shoved somewhat unartfully around some chords.  Is this considered great music?

I've forgotten who did that, but it's a terrific lyric, IMHO.  A real find on Dave's part.

For easy ref, here's last year's setlist. Geoff, that first tune was the Mukilteo Fairies.

Pride 2005
1.) Mukilteo Fairies - Queer Enough For You
2.) Billie Burke Estate - Gay
3.) Jill Sobule - I Kissed a Girl
4.) Melissa Etheridge - Yes I Am
5.) Sylvester - You Make Me Feel Mighty Real
6.) Tim Finn - Hit the Ground Running
7.) Elton John - The Simple Life
8.) Timbuk 3 - Legalize Our Love
9.) Tom Robinson Band - Glad to Be Gay
10.) Joe Jackson - Real Men
Let's get right to it.

I stumbled across the web site for the "For Better or For Worse" and found this site for the gay character Lawrence:

http://www.fborfw.com/char_pgs/lawrence/

I had no idea she put so much energy into researching her characters, or how much flak she put up with over bringing this character out of the closet.  In the end, it seems like most people were positive, but she lost newspapers over this.

I remember that. Great story. And sadly, little has changed.

The Ellen clips always remind me that the day after that ep aired, I got on BART and there was a woman sitting there with a toaster oven on her lap. I'll never know if it was just an amazing coincidence, or...

Rats, I missed the clip.  That was a good show, and the "Toaster" episode was reeeeally funny.

BOS, all the gay people everywhere!

But I'm never going in a bar called "Ramrod!"

But seriously, BOS Joe Jackson, who's coming up.  Yay.

BOS Timbuk 3, but (I say this every year) this song is actually about the love of... marijuana, no?
