A song by Blues Traveler I've never heard to kick off.

That's The Drive -- they sometimes do other stuff on Thurs.

But ditto, Mark: I've never heard this song either. Sure beats "But Anyway"...

Well, in her preamble Ginger talked about Blues Traveler bursting on the scene, but for me they sort of snuck up from behind more than bursting.

I still dig "But Anyway", especially the live version I got.

VHM Mutant Ninja Turtles.

You are correct sir!

Tuned in late, to what sounds like the Samples, a band I like more in theory and sentimentalism than in actual musical appreciation.

It is, and I never seem to have heard them back in the day, so this is sounding quite nice to me.

TANC!  Ginger just said she'd be back after the break with Peter Gabriel & Youssou N'Dour...

...and I had just bothered to check back to find that this is the 4th 1990 set this year from Ginger & I was all set to comment that so far she had not repeated anything...

...but now we get "Shaking the Tree", which we actually heard in the first set of the year on Jan 5.

Still it is A) a great song, and B) a lot less repetition than we get from Dave.

ETA:  Dave does go to 1990 far less frequently, but even so there are 4 songs that are duped in his last 4 sets & one that is triplicated.  And we haven't been since March 7, so we are probably overdue, maybe even as soon as today.

BOS: Cop Rock!

(I really hate acknowledging the early '90s as being 15 years old, though.)
