The I Love Music community has more or less declared "Hold Me" the greatest song ever, next to "God Only Knows."  I find it a pleasant confection, worth an HM here.

With the Cars (sounding a bit like Flash & the Pan, no?) we're officially paint-by-numbers.  Dave can save this set... or dig a deeper hole.

Well, the Cars tune didn't do it, but now both "Words" & "Hold Me" have been in 7 out of the last 20 sets, 35%.  Furthermore, "Hold Me" is now 3 for the last 3.

But that was still a killer segue.

That officially makes them a weirdass bunch

This set is so by-the-numbers I can smell the paint.

Finally, a song I can give a BOS vote to: "Invisible Sun"

I don' wanna play the part of a statistic on a government chart.

Oh, yes.  That line reminds me of why I was singing it.  I heard a song on KFrOG while I was dressing by the police that had something about "I don't want to play that part", but it rhymed "part" with something else.  Anybody guess the song?  I can't remember it right now.

I think I'm with Mike here. Nothing new that I haven't heard before. (Although it kills me that by 1982 John Densmore was reduced to appearing on Square Pegs, cool show though it may have been.  Sodden thought: is SP out on DVD? It should be--they could get the entire run of the show on two DVDs, max.)
Let's get right to it.

BOS #2, "Stand or Fall"

Is this the value of our existence?

and here's another fave of yours, "Stand or Fall".  Maybe Bob & Ginger spoiled me this morning, but I'm really feeling little love for this set. Strictly autopilot.

And here's a segue that's ripe with subtext: an A's ad featuring Billy Martin into a Lancer's Rose ad. Billy had a bit of a thirst, ya see...
Let's get right to it.

Oh, most nostalgic of set for Roxy Music.  Takes me back to sophomore year at Stanford.  The cute girl across the hall had Avalon and let me borrow it.  Definitely on the best of the 80s list for me, and of course, she was the cute girl across the hall.

BOS #3, CSN "Southern Cross", another song that gets much more KFOG airplay than 10@10 airplay (only in my Db once, from 10/02) , but I still love it.

And you know it wee-eel...
