I'm gonna have to cut out in about 10 minutes, but here's the only official Katrina from this year, "I'm On Fire".

Funny, that was my first reaction too.

But at least Mike gets a good year for his birthday! And Once Bitten... is rockin' my world this morning.
Let's get right to it.

This is, like yesterday, a 'new' classic.  While this is Dwight Twilley's 10th (!) appearance with this song, the only other time he was the TotHC was 2 months ago, the time I correctly predicted a 1975 set right after my birthday.  That set:

3/8/06 - Wednesday!!! A great time in...1975!!!

Dwight Twilley - I'm on Fire
Ambrosia - World Leave Me Alone
Pink Floyd - Welcome to the Machine
Jeff Beck - Freeway Jam
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run (B-O-S!!)
Hot Chocolate - Emma
Spinners - They Just Can't Help it (The Games People Play)
Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come
Pilot - Magic
Simon & Garfunkle - My Little Town
BONUS TRACK: Pure Prairie League - Amie
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

Plant your flower, and you'll grow a girl. Or a pearl. Or something.

Sweet Emotion hitting the right spot.

Damn Steven Tyler for not performing in San Jose last month.

Ironically, although KFOG was playing the heck out of Sweet Emotion last year, as far as the archives are concerned this is the rarest song we've heard yet in this set, only one previous appearance 8 months ago.

This may not be a 10@10 Katrina, but it's a KFOG Regular Rotation Katrina for sure.

"Some sweet talkin' mama with a face like a gent"?  And then a decade later they did "Dude Looks Like a Lady". Hmmm...

Wow, you'd think Dave would have played the Terence Hallinan clip more recently.  Wonder what he looked like back then.  Patty's other lawyer, btw, was F. Lee Bailey.

BOS2 Joni. Wonder if this is Larry Carlton doing this guitar solo (like the one we heard in that Steely Dan song last week)?

So far no repeats from the 3/6 set save for the Twilley tune.

Ah, some semi-prog rock--but who? Styx?
Let's get right to it.

If you mean the "Good Company" song, I'm pretty sure this is Queen.
(Just started listening...10:35)

BOS for Rufus.  Prog-funk!

Nope, the song before that was Styx. Light Up. I'd have recognized the Queen right off.
