Ah, the Pogues. The Pogues get played on the jukebox at my neighborhood bar all. the. time.

In fact- if drinking with Irish people in a bar is considered St Pat's Day? Everyday is St Pat's Day for this lil leprechaun.

I'm celebrating St Pat's tonight by squeezing a German-American cutie 'til she tells me to stop. (but one of her favorite bands is the Pogues)

The former. Well, sort of. We're still in that: "I really like you but I'm trying not to like you THAT much stage".

I'm wit'cha. Nice set so far--none of the usual suspects (and my prediction of U2, Van or Sinead before song 5 is--happily--down the loo).
Let's get right to it.

Geoff, Isn't Wake the Dead and Irish group?

Well, they play Irish styled versions of Dead songs.  I highly recommend seeing them.  Were they on the radio this year again?

Dave was asking Fogheads for U2 suggestions in the 6am hour -- he wanted something upbeat and celebratory -- but I dunno how far that discussion got.

Maybe but not on KFOG. They had Culann's Hounds, who moving up from playing the local pubs--at least for St. Paddy's Day--and are at the GAMH tonight.

I caught a couple of minutes of some Irish band doing rock n' roll on KFOX this morning.  Can't remember the song now, but it was cool.
