TOP O' THE MORNIN' TO YA!

Tho' I kinda hoped Dave'd retire the Irish theme in favor of "luck" songs or "green" songs.  Like we don't hear enough U2 every day.

I'm one of those genetically impaired folk that can't quite hear enough U2!

If Dave plays any Stiff Little Fingers I'll be a happy lad.

Let's hope we at least get some Thin Lizzy & Boomtown Rats (as long as it's not 'I Don't Like Mondays' or that other one he always plays- I can't remember the name now)....

ERIN GO BRAGH!

Or as the Irish feminists say, "Erin Go Braless!"

Green Day?

Only if Billie Joe Armstrong is Irish.

BOS Waterboys, "Fisherman's Blues" probably a more Irish-sounding choice than "Whole of the Moon".

Agree with the early BOS, and extra points for the World Party connection (Karl Wallinger was a Waterboy for about half an hour--long enough to play on the FB album anyway.)

So how far will we get into the set before we hear:
1) U2
2) Van Morrison
3) Sinead

I'm guessing at least one of the three before song 5. And we're on song 2 right now.
Let's get right to it.

OOOooo. BOS2 Pogues, Dirty Old Town.

I hear Shane and some assemblage of Pogues are going out togther again this year. It'd be tempting but Shane's a mess these days. Not like that's a news flash or anything.
Let's get right to it.

Now that we got our Pogues, what we really need to hear is some Chieftains!

Ah, the Pogues. The Pogues get played on the jukebox at my neighborhood bar all. the. time.

In fact- if drinking with Irish people in a bar is considered St Pat's Day? Everyday is St Pat's Day for this lil leprechaun.

I'm celebrating St Pat's tonight by squeezing a German-American cutie 'til she tells me to stop. (but one of her favorite bands is the Pogues)
