I wonder if a black hole would spontaneously open up if Dave played the stunning and unfathomable Marc Almond and Gene Pitney's "Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart."

Snoozers so far.  No BOS from me.  I need "No Parking on the Dance Floor."

Agreed and agreed. Tho' the Capaldi was nice. But where's the funk?

Oh, the Pitney/Almond duet was '89, BTW

Well, a Jim Capaldi appearance was inevitable this week.  A lovely remake.

This may be why we're getting 83 today after 82 and that guy's bay area swan song yesterday.
Let's get right to it.

BOS for me, tasty indeed, and shows off his expressive voice.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

Why on Earth would someone do a cover of "Sussudio". Why would a little girl name her horse "Sussudio" for that matter?

God, I hate that song.

And to think our jr. high band was going to play that at some point.  I think we rehearsed it a few times but an un-pretty song not translated well played by junior high musicians... well it was bound to be a train wreck, and our director thankfully threw it out.  And I think literally too  :)

some different stuff.  Maybe "I'm Still Standing" or "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" or "Pass The Dutchie"... Has Dave played "What About Me" (Moving Pictures) before ?

"I'll Tumble 4 Ya" would be a pleasant surprise.  Dave's Culture Club repertoire is limited to "Karma Chameleon" and "Church of the Poison Mind," I think.

The other two would be great to hear more often, though I *think* both were '82.  And certainly I've never heard "What About Me" here.  Good calls, all.

Amazingly, Dave's never played "I'm Still Standing", and the other 3 have made maybe made one appearance each in the 12 years I've been listening.

Wrong Eurythmics track, Dave.  This was '86.

LOL, airbrush. Oh, well. What do I know anyway? It was, like, a huge hit and everyone thinks Phil Collins is awesome. All I do is play tambourine (I spelled it right this time just for kicks).

Most gloriously depraved line from a gloriously depraved movie.

Wow, I'm surprised -- I thought Annie and Dave had taken a relatively lengthy layoff after the "1984" soundtrack.
