sorry, missed the opening.  Everclear (?) sampling "Mr Big Stuff".

"AM Radio", I'm assuming. Something of a guilty pleasure for me.

I thought it WAS Mr. Big Stuff for a bit, guessing it was in a 2000 movie.

Conan O'Brien - the election drags on --> BNLs or perhaps they should be called the BLNs. "Pinch Me"

I think that of all the AAA/HAC acts of the late 90's/early 00's that I tolerated at the time, this group's output has aged the least well.

It had been one week since I heard one of their tunes.

"what's the point? it never goes anywhere." Which describes most '90s and '00s sets.

BeLN Harper, Steal My Kisses. He has songs that are more rock 'n' roll than this, FWIW.

Man, KFOG 2000 makes KFOG 2014 sound butt-kicking.

Huge John Cusack fan, Huge XTC fan, so that actually made my day.

Given that my attendance has been sporadic at best the last couple years or so & that 2000 was in limited rotation when I was hanging more regularly...not sure of the answer to the following question, but:

But does 2000 get any extra love for being the year that the 10@10 Club got rolling?

ETA:  back then, the latest year in rotation was 1989, which had an extraordinarily low mean deviation between Katrinas iirc.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were. Although it also appeared on their last studio album of original material, Wasp Star.
Let's get right to it.

I'd say no. Love the people, but the songs that tend to get played in a Y2K set...notsomuch.

What was the tune after Ben Harper? I don't recognize this next snoozer either.

For whatever reason, I thought the Yahoo club originated in 1999. But it was in August 2000 when I first met Gazoo, RGM, POC, Beej and Rod at a chain pizza restaurant at Embarcadero 2 that has long since moved on.

And I remember meeting Dave for the first time at Chevy's near the same location with a larger group a couple of months later.

Gotta say, I am not minding this set nearly as much as I had feared.

BOS2, Jayhawks I'm Gonna Make You Love Me. Probably their biggest hit of the non-Mark Olson years.
Let's get right to it.
