"Not My Cross to Bear"  -- ABB with a relative rarity in this company.  A little too bloozy/snoozy for me to BOS, but VHMFRA.  Proxy of Geoff.

I'll call it a Toad.

TANC: Gregg Allman used to call Cher "the wet socket".

Ha! Part of the reason I created the "Toad" designation.... yeah, that's the ticket!

Thankfully it's trivia night, that way I can listen to something else during the replay.

I'm a little curious.  I don't remember hearing this on KFOG, and I also wonder why this is being played today, from a 1986 album. Was it released as a single or something in '87?

You're definitely right about the release date, but from what I can find everything that charted from this album did so in '87. So maybe the old "chart action" rule is being brought back into play? My memories of this record are more associated with '87 than '86, so maybe it just took awhile to take off.
Let's get right to it.

Stock Market crash/Wall Street --> Brooooce, "Aint Got You", a serious rarity and an easy BOS2.

A bust-out, NTM, and my thought while listening was that it demonstrates that the man does indeed
have talent.

While I recognize the historical significance of bringing the mook sensibility to the rap genre, which
in the context of the times was groundbreaking, the execution and content was pretty crude.
It's not the kind of thing I find pleasurable for repeated listening.  Not unlike hard-core punk from
a decade earlier.
