24 June 2014: it's... 1987

one of the most-dreaded years. The thread is up, early,  but I still don't have high hopes for the ultimate result.

Well, we all are doing what we can to spice the set up. But of course there are also requests for U2 and Crowded House  ::)

Yeah JF loves him some "Don't Dream it's Over". There are some great suggestions in the thread, but this seems to be one of those years where we rarely stray from the usual suspects, at least since the DC era began.

LN2: Alarm, "Rain in the Summertime" -- heh, I was thankful we didn't hear this on Friday.

Ted Koppell with Jim and Tammy Bakker. --> "It's a Sin". Potential BOS for the PSBs if nothing more interesting appears, but I think we've heard that segue before.

more Jim & Tammy --> New Order, "True Faith". I think she's done that segue too. LN3, much as I like New Order generally.

When I was a very small boy
Michael Jackson talked to me...

So far, BOS PSB, HM New Order, but the LNQ is off the charts, I'm afraid.

Stock Market crash/Wall Street --> Brooooce, "Aint Got You", a serious rarity and an easy BOS2.

"Faith-a, faith-a faith-a" will surely lead to another Jim & Tammy clip, no?  VHM, but I had requested his duet with Aretha.

Nice, although I'm sure it's been played before. "Father Figure" is one of those #1s that never gets any love anymore (yes, I realize it charted in 88).

"Not My Cross to Bear"  -- ABB Gregg Allman with a relative rarity in this company.  A little too bloozy/snoozy for me to BOS, but VHMFRA.  Proxy of Geoff.

I recall it being something of a Moreytrina, tho' I'm not sure how many times we've hear it from RR/AL.
