26 March 2014: it's... 1999

no clues as of 7:30pm. I suspect another '90s set in is the offing.

DING! DING! DING! -- it's 1999. Er... blorf.

(actually I requested "Believe" by Cher and "...Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears. Fat chance.)

I think we should have a pool to guess where in the set the Foo Fighters appear. I'll guess that they're the TOTHK.

My wishlist:

The New Radicals - Someday We'll Know
Khaleel - No Mercy
Juvenile - Back That Thang Up
Orgy - Blue Monday
Oleander - I Walk Alone
Splender - Yeah, Whatever

I know they have the "other" New Radicals song, because it got played on the last A-Z.  ;D

I have to think it's just a matter of time before your requests are played, but most likely not in the same set. "Learn To Fly" would be an obvious TOTHK.

And it's been played in a 1998 set at least once, plus it's part of KFOG's regular rotation in 2014. That album, of course, has about five or six songs that I wouldn't mind hearing (in particular, "Technicolor Lover").

Rick Dees' 90's flashback focused on 1999 a few weeks back, which included "No Mercy". I hadn't heard it since it appeared on the chart (and Khaleel doesn't even have a Wikipedia entry!)

Splendor could be played and nobody would think it crashed the format. Or, as I'm finding myself saying more and more: "The Sun Will Still Rise In The East".

Actually, I was referring to "Someday We'll Know" as the "other" one...since the non-other one, as you mentioned, is part of KFOG's regular rotation in 2014 (and the last _____ years).

Sadly, I'll be missing today's set.  Hopefully I can catch it on SoundCloud (if AL remembers to upload today's and yesterday's sets).

In the meantime, take copious notes! (even if it pains you today, RGMike  ;) )

I'll place my wager on #7.

The Matrix is everywhere!

TOTHK: Filter, "Take a Picture" -- which has surely appeared before in more than one '99 set.

As much as I like the song, it's reached Katrina status by now.

I counted five original appearances plus at least one rerun of one of those...
