Today's theme on their morning 10@10 was "Beards". presumably the facial kind and not the other kind.

Tom Cruise Blues

The Sound is doing a "Mystery Theme" today.

All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix
Do You Feel Like We Do  by Peter Frampton
Fm (no Static At All)  by Steely Dan
Honky Cat  by Elton John
Going To California  by Led Zeppelin
Joy To The World  by Three Dog Night
Never Tear Us Apart  by INXS
Brandy by Looking Glass
Best of My Love by the Eagles
Spill the Wine by War/Eric Burdon

BTW, the Sound has a ticker at the top of their web page with listener comments.  Usually on the order of "You guys are totally awesome!!" so i figured they were carefully cherry-picked. But today one of the rotating comments is "Listen to tapes from KFOG's Dave Morey, the originator of '10 at 10', to see how it should be done." from some guy named Donald. ROTFL!

oddly, the "official" setlist on their website substitutes BJ's "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" for the Steely Dan tune.

Tue 11/13/12: 1975

pretty standard stuff so far: F.Mac, Chicago, BadCo, Macca ("Listen to What the LN Said").

mildly pleasing pick: AWB, "Cut the Cake" rather than "Pick Up the Pieces"

uber-uber-LN2: Aerosmith. "Sweet Emotion" is one of the most-overplayed tracks in the Classic Rock Radio canon. WOS while we're at it.

WOS2 Styx, calling "Lorelei" on the TEL-ee-phone.

LOL the trailer for Rollerball.

BOS Floyd, "Welcome to the Machine"

VHM "Jackie Blue"... from the album Past Tense.

Cream - Crossroads
Blue Cheer - Summertime Blues
Grand Funk Railroad - Footstompin' Music
Police - One World

All are from white men, all were released prior to 1990.... I'm wondering if it's an early 90's charity event (perhaps 1990 itself, as Mercury died in 91)?
