Early predictions:

(wildcard) Bill Deal & the Rondells, "May I"
(surething) Diana et al, "Someday We'll Be Together"
(hopeful) anything from Donovan (dare I hope for "Atlantis"?)
(doubtful but desired) Mercy, "Love Can Make You Happy"
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

If your Diana prediction is correct (and I'm betting it is) that could make it the #1 Katrina of all time.

Who? Donovan? or Bill Deal?

BTW, urth, you lucked out -- my record keeping is spotty, but in answer to your email,  on Jan 30th 2004 we visited 1970.

VHM to Mr. Dacres talkin' bout the Lost Tribe.

WOS (surprise!) to "Hot Smoke & Sasafrass."  Mike, I have no idea what you see in this song.  Seriously.

Neither. Desmond Dekker & the Aces.

Really.

And thanks for filling in my missing data. I'll try to post my recap later today, but we're short-handed here so it may have to wait til the weekend.

early BOS: Hot Smoke & Sassafrass!  Gaz how can you hate something this cheezy?

I think Ram Jam shoulda covered this as a follow-up to "Black Betty"

BOS2: Tony Joe! Chomp Chomp Chomp!

VHM to Mr. Dacres

is that a contraction of "Dekker" and "Aces"?

The Elvis cover of this is sweet, too. It's featured in that movie of one of his Vegas concerts. Elvis forgets the lyrics halfway through and simply walks to the back of the stage (still in full view of the audience), pulls out his notes (a folded piece of paper), reads it over for a few secs and then jumps back into the song.
