7 Dec 2011: it's... 1994
« on: December 06, 2011, 07:47:53 PM »
made suggestions, tho' I don't have high hopes for any of 'em. Please let me be wrong. '94 is precisely one of those years that is often stuck in KFOG-playlist limbo, when it desperately needs some pop-chart and Live 105 type action.

I'm assuming Thursday will be our '60s-or-'70s day and Friday will be the first of several Xmas sets, specifically a Concert4Kids-themed thing (like she's done the past couple years)

ETA: the Foghead who wants to hear Counting Crows AND Sheryl Crow AND Sarah McLesbian AND the Gin Blossoms is offically on my shit-list.

Webster just played the Gin Blossoms' "Found Out...", which was a FB request, so I guess we'll be spared at least one frequent-flier.

I wonder what the record is for closest plays, 10@10 and otherwise.

I have heard the evening person (going back years) play a song at, like, 9:45 that was played again on 10@10 at 10:15-ish.

BOS1 Green Day.

I like Cake (the band AND the food) but "RnR Lifestyle" is getting TONS of regular KFOG play of late...  so this gets an F for Necessary under the Radical system.

thankfully, I don't listen to KFOG that much, so I don't share that feeling.  HM to Cake for quoting Bill Kirchen's signature riff from Hot Rod Lincoln.

another HM to Corrective Soles (I love that moniker) for Shine... though it gets played often.   This is kinda Christian rock, no?

Talk about a band that went from zero KFOG airplay to saturation overnight...  I'll give it a VHM; proxy BOS for sundaygal.

I'll give Alice in Chains a BOS. Just joined the fun. Looks like a good set so far.
