Tue 7/5/11: 198?

Pixies, The Call, SRV, Wire, U2, The Cure. I'm too lazy to google to see what '80s year this is.

Wed 7/6/11: 1970

major BOS to Procol Harum's "Whiskey Train", which I surely haven't heard in decades.  BOS2 Joni's "For Free". Only Dave Mason and you know how the two of us can ride, captain, ride.

Cute segue: "Ride Captain Ride" --> "I'm Your Captain".

Thur 7/7/11: 1980

Queen plays the game, English Beat look in the mirror, Jackson's on the 'vard, the Kings switch to glide, Pete opens the door and Mick's on his fine ah-rahb chahhhh-jahhh. But it's Devo cracking the whip.

BOSFRA: Cheap Trick, "Everything Works if you Let It"

Fri 7/8/11: 1977

Rob in the late '70s can't possibly suck.  Bonnie's a runaway, Neil's like a hurricane, and Marley waits in vain.

ARS's "Neon Nites" is a def rarity if not an ATBB. VHM.

"Sheena" is, well, you know...

I don't think Van the man's "Joyous Sound" got any NYC radio play in '77.  But "Lonely Boy" sure did, and I've officially heard it one too many times in the past 6 weeks.

BOSFRA: The Heartbreakers (the punk band featuring Johnny Thunders, NOT the Petty outfit), "Chinese Rocks", which does.

another for the never-need-hear-again list: "Don't Stop", which reminds me of another great Ingram line, "Fleetwood Mac -- the Cadillac of hamburgers!"

Always a BOS(2) to the Pistols. We loov our Queen!
