JJ busts out the One-Eyed Gott to start my Tuesday.  Followed by the Isleys' orig "Work To Do", and King Floyd's *other* hit, "Baby Let me Kiss Ya".

LAWD! Esther Phillips' fab Fab Four cover, "And I Love Him".

that Esther Phillips cut was awesome.

I have to listen more to the 7:00 hour, when he plays the sounds of the 70s.  So why doesn't he play the 60s soul sounds before the 70s?  He does the same thing on Saturday night.  Frankly, I usually like the 70s more.

I always figured the '70s came first on Saturday because it includes a lot of Disco/Funk and so us old people can dance before we get too tired.  ;)

But it was weird to hear him play the Fireballs' "Sugar Shack" just now, which I've always considered one of the whitest records ever to chart R&B. I mean *look* at these guys!

OMG! now it's HA&tTB, "A Taste of Honey"!

Listened to Vin Scelsa's show from this past Saturday... I was unaware that he has a lesbian daughter. There was a passing reference to his daughter Kate and "her wife Amanda". Color me gobsmacked.

Segue of the Day on Radio de Sebb: Ree-Ree cruises down the "Freeway of Love" and ends up "In the Ghetto" with Candi Staton.

and the surprise pairing of the afternoon is Jose Feliciano covering Stevie W's "Golden Lady" -- nice! -- followed by Minnie Riperton doing "Light My fire"... feat a Feliciano cameo!
