Mon 11/1/10: 1973

Rob does '73 too, and gets too high at a funeral for a friend and cries like a rainstorm

(kudos on that last one, a lost Bonnie Raitt gem)

a ho-hum set overall, except for the Eurythmics' little-heard "Sexcrime".

Woke up early enough for a delightful surprise on today's '67 Peak set: Procol Harum's little-known "Whiter Shade" follow-up, "Homburg."  Another gorgeous keyboard melody with inscrutable lyrics.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

arrived just in time for Procol Harum's wonderful "Homburg".  Missed a pleasant if non-earth-shattering set that included "She's a Rainbow", Jimi's "Fire" and "Expressway to Your Heart". Tomorrow Rob does his patented late-70s thang.

Tell me WHY! I *do* like Thursdays! Rob does his late-'70s number.

Cheap Trick hear voices, Police find a message, Mr Gomm holds on, Dylan rides a slow train, Blondie goes to Union City and Moon Martin meets "Rolene", which someone on FB mentioned during AL's '79 set Monday.

I wanna hold get back!
