another BOS for Bowie -- This song is used in the original Brit production of Life On Mars, oddly enough.  Highly recommended and you can get it from Netflix.

BOS for Bowie's "Life on Mars?"  Speaking of which, I never finished watching that show.  It was enjoyable, not least of which for its great 70s soundtrack.

1971 was confusing.  Cher passed through Mo-BEEL, but the Who went Mo-BILE.

another BOS the 'Oo.  Played this album to death my freshman year of college (prior to that I didn't have access to a reallygood stereo system, nor the freedom to play it as loud as I wanted to.)

yep.  Mayor Newsome gave Carlos some kind of artist award, and he said this in his acceptance speech or whatever.  Irish Greg read it on the air & Peter & Webster made him reread it twice.

I loved this when it came out, we'd (whole family) sing along in the car on the way out to Jones Beach in our Chevy Biscayne.  I was 8.

Do y'all know about his famous anti-Anita Bryant ad? When she was at her peak, he and his wife took out a full-page ad in Variety:

"Mr & Mrs Paul Williams would like to announce that they no longer serve screwdrivers"
