Wow, what was that movie clip with the guy singing Afternoon Delight?  Weird.

VHM for an Oasis song that isn't played to death.

ETA: oh, I take that back.  It was played to death on that AT&T commercial.

TANC: Sandler's clever, forgotten "Listening to the Radio" (yes, a song on a mostly spoken comedy album) was a KFOG staple that year  -- if AL played that, I'd plotz.

Indeed, and even more so with Bush.  Though I was listening to 98.5 a lot at this point, and we've got Bush there.

Nope, Gavin Rossdale and Bush. They were all the rage for a couple years. I was a little surprised they faded so quickly--he's got a fairly distinctive inflection in his voice and I thought their songs were a cut above most of the rest of alterna-rock fodder. The solo record he put out this year didn't do much at all.
