The Sound, 5/5/09: 1976
« on: May 05, 2009, 10:08:21 AM »
Bob Seger's Rock N Roll Never Forgets - an all-American song from an all-American year.

But apparently rock n roll forgot to acknowledge Cinco de Mayo here as well.

Something weird was happening at the end of Jailbreak with the voiceover and song playing in and out.  But as Nick says, so it goes.

BOS "Year of the Cat."  Sheer poetry.

The man was really talented, and they don't write "smart" like that any more.

I think the song ended but the segue still featured that same song as back ground music.  oops, production planning  mistake.  It was a little weird.

he's still around.  Not cranking out the hits like he used to, but still committed to writing songs around obscure historical events and figures and such..  :)

Whoo, Rubberband Man!  Always been a favorite, but mainly because I arranged it for the Stanford Band years ago, and they still play it.  Always good for a big smile.
