The Sound (LA), 3/17/09: Irish artists
« on: March 17, 2009, 10:20:27 AM »
I tuned in at 1:25pm ET in time for the Corrs + Bono's take on "When the Stars Go Blue."
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Perhaps the Song O' the Unicorn?

either that or "Wasn't That a Party", their unexpected Top 40 hit from the '80s.

Thin Lizzy "Cowbpy" (partial -- the CD crapped out and the deejay bailed on it)

As atonement, they're playing "Whiskey in the Jar" as a bonus track.

The guitar lead in Whisky sounds definitely gaelic.  I'd love to hear a traditional irish instrument arrangement of this.

eta: duh: it IS at traditional song..  :-\
