It's The Knack with their other song everyone knows, but doesn't really like as much as their first one, "Good Girls Don't"

Not me, I like this one MUCH better than "My Sharona", and did even back then.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

One thing the Sound's set has over KFOG's: they got a higher powered sponsor. Volvo vs. California Closets.

Always found it a little funny that one of the most frequent sponsors of a feature that's entirely the work of a completely "out" gay man is California Closets.

the official "closeteer" of 10@10!  (as I've joked before... I always thought Tracy Chapman was the official closeteer of 10@10...)

This was not a bad set. Wonder if we could convince them to move it up an hour and change the name to 10@9 once Dave reappears?

I'm curious if Larry, the DJ who creates these, does them live as DM did, or records them ahead for playback?
Let's get right to it.

Larry Morgan is their morning guy, so he could very well be sticking around to do it live, a la Dave. OTOH, Rob on the Peak is also the Morning guy, but he records ahead of time.

BTW, if you take their listener survey here:

http://www.dat-e-baseonline.com/front/OpenContest.asp?Action=New&sh=0&SurveyID=21476&zx=198

(it takes 2 minutes) you will be entered in a giveaway -- they give away $3000 every afternoon at 3pm by announcing the name of someone who filled out the survey -- you have a half-hour to call them back at 888-696-1003.

Could have posted this in the I Didn't Know That! thread - but I just learned this week that Marty Balin actually rehearsed "Jane" with the band a few times before quitting.  I'd assumed the song had been written with Mickey in mind.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
