NTM from JJ on KPOO: Fugi, "Mary, Don't Take Me On No Bad Trip":

With that title, I'm imagining a remake by RuPaul.

Bob Shannon on WLNG dedicates a twin-spin to the outgoing administration: "You Haven't Done Nothin'" and "Hit the Road, Jack". ROTFL!

JJ's on my Tues morning radio rounds, but I tuned away before this (I'll watch the vid later).  I did hear a number of soul standards, though.  Never a bad thing, but I like it when JJ goes deep.  He did play a song from "the fifties" though, at around 8:20 or so.

dangit, I wish he put his playlists up!

As it snows in NYC, WLNG plays Englebert's "Winter World of Love".

As it snows in NYC

Almost an understatement - it's bitterly cold here this week.   :-[

indeed, the only thing I don't miss about NYC.  Below zero wind chill was what I heard from Brian the Cannon Bannon.  And TANC, he's now playing HJF&R, "Fawwin in Wuv".

And he followed it with "Sunshine on my Shoulders" -- that'll warm things up.

OMGWTFLOL-of-the-Day: 'LNG plays Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan, "Tennessee Birdwalk" (would make a great twin-spin with "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep").

"Lemme put this hamburger down... ah don't want no malt -- ah wanna DANCE! Sho' 'nuff groovin' now, y'all."

Archie Bell's *other* hit, "I Just Can't Stop Dancin'", never fails to make me smile.

always a delight to hear Ms Baez's "Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", but 35+ years later I still don't understand why she mondegreened "Stoneman's cavalry" as "so much cavalry".
